What The Entrepreneurial MD Offers You

The Entrepreneurial MD Business Coaching Services help transform physician clients from "newbie" Business Person, lacking in business experience or knowledge, to successful Physician Entrepreneur.

Physicians are good at what they do, and have an array of technical skills pertaining to their "physician work". However, most are not trained in starting, operating and successfully growing a business. Hence the unfamiliarity of actually thinking of themselves as business people. 

In order to help physicians accomplish this transformation, I have developed an 8-step Entrepreneurial MD BizStartup^TM process:

The Eights Steps to Becoming an Entrepreneurial Physician 

1. Understand who you are, what you are capable of, and what you want, in order to design the entrepreneurial lifestyle you desire – your Designed Lifestyle
   
2. Articulate your business idea such that it could support and provide for your Designed Lifestyle – your Business Vision
3. Figure out your biggest questions about going into business that, if solved, would position you to build a viable business - Strategic Thinking about your Business Model
4. Identify the BIG reason for your business to exist, for YOU – your Compelling Purpose, and the BIG reason for your business to exist, for OTHERS – your Customer Purpose
   
5. Recognize and name your core values, which you will align with in your business, and the behaviors or actions that will convey your values to your customers/patients, and future employees and business affiliates – your Business Values in Action
   
6. Outline key steps that set out how you intend to finance, build and operate your business. Communicate to yourself and others how you intend to make your business successful – your Business Plan.
7. Develop a strategy for how you intend to position, price, package and promote your service(s) or product(s), persuade others to buy and then keep them coming back for more! – your Marketing Plan
   
8. Get going by beginning to put in place the hardware, software, "peopleware", systems, and processes to support the efficient operation of your business – your Implementation Plan.

Not every physician is at the same stage of business development. Some want to become more business-oriented but don't know where to start. Others have made a move, but are feeling stuck or unsupported. Still others have businesses or business-like practices that are doing well, and they want to step it up to a much higher level.
